Dave Driver is native Floridian who started his career at Walt Disney World as an eighteen year old electrical apprentice in 1972. After graduating from the apprenticeship he left Florida in 1976 to travel and refine his craft. He returned to become an Imagineer in 1988 after working in the electrical construction industry throughout the eastern United States.
He holds five Florida certified contractor licenses in Contracting (general, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pool) and a B. S. in Business Management. He was a member of the Walt Disney Imagineering construction management team for 29 years. At WDI he was team member for the construction of 32 attractions at Walt Disney World Florida and Disneyland California including Soarin’, Frozen, Typhoon Lagoon, Splash Mountain, Tower of Terror, and more. He also was a member of the build team in Italy for the first Disney cruise ships, The Magic and The Wonder. He feels that the best thing about his job is helping the creative division bring their vision to life and the emotion involved with watching the first guest exit any new attraction or venue.
